Key to EAP is an all-in-one course that focuses on building the fundamental skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking in an academic context with an emphasis on developing students’ critical thinking skills. Teacher Book The course of study in this book follows an LPAE approach. This means students Learn, Practise, Apply and Evaluate. Learn: The students are introduced to (or reminded about) learning skills, academic vocabulary, and academic culture Practise: Students practise new skills in exercises and guided activities in each module and have the opportunity to practise at home using the workbook or web page Apply: Students apply their skills and knowledge in a weekly assignment Evaluate: Students evaluate their own understanding of concepts and their ability to do tasks effectively in each module. Peer cooperation and evaluation is also required throughout the course.
