Also, the course can be used to study either American or British English. The playbooks have few words and no controversial spellings; the songs on the cassette are mid-Atlantic. Book work in the course constitutes from five to ten minutes of each lesson; the balance of the time is spent on songs, games, flashcard work and other activities. Activities include such things as cut-and-past, colouring and connect-the-dots as well as games and songs.
